RBI Alaska; An MLB Affiliated Program

Hello Gamers Families,

I have great news to share in that Gamers Baseball Alaska is now affiliated with Major League Baseball through a program called R.B.I.! The R.B.I. acronym stands for Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities and was originally designed in 2006 to support kids in low income, disadvantaged, inner city areas. The mission of the program, since then, has expanded to all underserved kids. Alaskans fall in this category as we have geographic and climate restrictions in being challenged in our access to baseball and softball at high levels.

What are the benefits?

Grant Support:

  • Financial support to economically challenged areas of town through baseball programs managed by the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club.

Uniform and Equipment Partnership/Support:

  • Substantial metal cleat donation (Under Armour)
  • Substantial Uniform Donation (SEA Mariners Foundation)

Access to MLB Sponsored Events:

  • Baseball Elite Development Invitational (Top Players in America. One Alaskan Representative)
  • Softball Elite Development Invitational (Top Players in America. One Alaskan Representative)
  • Trailblazer Series (13U Girls baseball)
  • RBI Western Regional (Opportunity to play in the RBI World Series at Target Field Minneapolis Minnesota. Senior Baseball, ages 16-18. Junior Baseball, ages 13-15. Softball, ages 14-18)

What excites me the most about our affiliation with this program is support in helping young people participate in baseball and softball regardless of their economic background, as well as, the ability to facilitate community building by connecting local businesses to the MLB brand in support of this initiative.

Thank you all for your continued interest. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in getting involved at any capacity!
